Alisa woke up around 6:00 AM in the morning to study, she left for class around 8:30 AM. During the day she had to meet up with another student to talk about the project they currently were working on. She then left for the high school so that she would be able to help the teachers assist the students with learning. It was around 4:00 PM when she got home and she made her way towards her desk and spread her homework along the top of the desk to get to work. She had been looking at her papers so long that she hadn't noticed when she drifted off to sleep. She woke up at 5:30 PM, figuring out that she must have taken a nap because the assignment in front of her wasn't done. She sighed tired of dealing with her studies because she was well aware that she had moments of taking the time to study and not catch up on enough sleep. She lifted the piece of paper in her hand to look it over before setting it on top of the other pile of papers. She pushed her chair back and stood up from the desk to stretch.
She wandered towards her mirror to look at herself before picking up her brush to fix up her hair, once it no longer looked like a mess she set the brush back down on the stand and went over to her closet to change into a new pair of clothes. When she was ready to go out the door she grabbed her cell phone and placed it in her pocket before grabbing her wallet and exiting her bedroom. She walked into the kitchen to see dinner was finished and ate very little of it before excusing herself. I want to go somewhere.... but where..... The thought crossed into her mind and she walked out of the living room where she had been pacing for the last few minutes before she opened the door to her apartment and walked outside. The air was nice and cool, a favorite temperature for her. She slowly made her way towards the park, figuring she would be able to find something interesting there since it was becoming dark outside.

[attr="class","h-text"]Get out', they'd said. 'You need fresh air,' they'd pestered him. Normally on such occasions Nathaniel'd march straight to the library, soaking up the air conditioning while he read volumes he didn't have at home.
But for whatever reason, it seemed like they were on to him. Perhaps it was Nathaniel's own paranoia at work, or maybe his family really did know when he was at the library via planted spies, or even the head librarian for all he knew. So, he'd try a new approach.
Griffin had spent the day at the park, reading and studying at a park bench, his work sprawled out across the bench and ground.
That is, until he looked up and noticed the sun- that bright ball of light he'd been using to read- had started to dim. So, all the books save one were put away, along with the notebook. And, with one book still out, he began walking away from the park. As was the fate of all distracted men, the twenty-year-old collided with Alisa, dropping his book to the ground.
"Oh- sorry! You're so quiet!" Nathaniel exclaimed, eyes widening. [attr="class","h-extra"]Tags @alisa - Notes sorry for the flood of notifications, i wanted a template

Alisa had pulled her cell phone out of her pocket because it had beeped. It had come from her parents, reminding her that they were planning on coming into town tomorrow. She shook her head slightly, almost wishing that they wouldn't. She didn't have a problem with her parents but there was a reason that she chose to live in her own apartment and that was to have her own free will and space. It was somewhat hard when your parents decided they would drop in on you and you would find yourself playing the perfect child just to avoid making them upset or disappointed at you. She hadn't been looking around to notice that she wasn't the only one in the park, it was hard to see because the sun had gone down. She had just barely slipped the phone back into her pocket and glanced up when they walked into each other. It had caught her off guard and she found herself slightly losing her balance from fright. She caught herself just in time so that she wouldn't fall on her butt because the noise of the book hitting the ground could be heard.
His words reached her ears and she forced a small smile to appear on her lips as to avoid appearing as if she had been scared to begin with. "That is alright, I should have been watching where I was going." She stated, noticing that his eyes had gone wide but she glanced away before looking down at the ground to see that his book was sitting on the ground untouched since it had fallen there. She bent over and picked it up, brushing any possible dirt off and found herself staring over the title before she handed it over to him. "Interesting choice." She stated as she placed her hands in her pockets, one would notice that she was wearing slacks as her choice of pants and a white dress shirt. Alisa shifted slightly as to force herself to slant because she didn't like standing up straight all the time even though it was something her parents expected to see from her. "I'm Alisa, what is your name?" She asked, seeing no harm in talking with this young man, he seemed friendly enough to her.

[attr="class","h-text"]Nathaniel was a total space case. Nathaniel didn't reach for his book. He didn't even acknowledge it had fallen. His eyes had settled on her and his entire world froze on his mistake, like a proverbial elephant. And then, like magic words, she addressed the book. Nathaniel exhaled, relief settling over him. She was letting him talk about something he knew! The mercy of all mercies.
"Yes! Foucault. It's quite interesting. I'm reading about madness- well, obviously, it's called Madness and Civilization ... Are you quite certain you're alright?" The Irish man's brow furrowed, concern etching into his usually placid features. If she wasn't, well, wouldn't that be embarrassing! He tucked the book under his arm, figuring he wouldn't be reading it until she went away, but he could still keep it at the ready.
"Me... Nathaniel." That was too formal. Or caveman-ish. Maybe it was both, if that were possible. She had him all flustered. "I mean... Well, whatever you want." As long as this question and answer concerning names ended promptly, that was.
"What are you doing out here so late? Would you like me to walk you home? Or, wherever it is you're going." That was what his grandparents taught him: watch out for women, society didn't do a good enough job. Not that they couldn't defend themselves, but everyone could use a friend, and well, not everyone had the best intentions. Alisa had found herself looking over at him as he explained the book to her, it sounded like something she had read before but she couldn't place her finger on it. I'm sure I'll remember later when I no longer feel a great need to remember.... The thought encouraged an eye roll but it wasn't towards Nathaniel. "I think I've heard of that book." She stated, "I just can't remember and the thought crossed my mind that I'm likely not to remember until later when it no longer is a top priority...." She confessed, not trying to be rude but she felt a great need to be honest to him about her eye roll. The last thing she wanted was for him to possibly think it was against him when it really was just her thoughts that had caused her to do such an action. Nathaniel asked if she was alright, "Um... yes... I'm fine." She answered him back, reaching a hand behind her head so that she could rub the back of her head.
Nathaniel had an Irish accent, she took note of it, figuring that he must be Irish or grew up there anyway. He had tucked the book under his arm and she told him her name and he gave his back to her. Then he spoke and she had a reply back, "What do you mean?" She couldn't help but feel slightly confused by his comment. The subject was changed to her being out here so late. "Oh me? I was out here because it is such a lovely night, I can't help but love being out here since it is easy to relax. The cool weather is nice outside, wouldn't you agree?" She asked, he asked if she would like him to take her home. "Are you returning home already?" She asked, not ignoring his question but not in a rush to answer it either. As much as she'd love for him to walk her home, she wasn't ready to leave, not yet.
Or at least Nathaniel had offered to walk with her to any other location she was headed. Though she just smiled, "I had been headed to the park, I'm here now though." They both knew that comment as soon as soon as she mentioned the park was the place she meant to stop for the night. It hadn't yet crossed her mind how dangerous it would be for her to be left alone in the park, but right now she was just enjoying being at the park. Alisa would have liked to have taken a seat at the bench a few feet away from her but Nathaniel was still here and well, she would have his presences here over a bench any day. "How has your day been?" She asked, wondering if he had spent any time at the park or if he was just passing through and had bumped into her.
