ABOUT Honestly, Neil's a pretty ordinary guy. He's sensible and somewhat laid back, but with an element of boldness that's been getting some play lately. The man utterly lacks ambition and tends to just do what makes him comfortable, so it's kind of a surprise that he would be a cop at all. He's looking for answers on his dad's murder, but has nowhere to go, so for now he just does the minimum of what his job entails and keeps his eyes peeled. FRIENDS Not too hard to make! For all his carefree ways Neil tends to be a grounded and realistic guy, so he's a good anchor for more flighty or fast-paced characters who leap before they look. Incidentally, this can also make him the "serious" member of a comedic duo or group, as he will absolutely not hesitate to tell someone when they're being stupid or irrational. He can be outwardly dour but he's a kind man at heart, and he can be protective and supportive of meeker people. Meet him on the job! Off the job! In a goddamn elevator, wherever! I want him to meet all types of weird people. ENEMIES Could have these as well. Neil is very plain-spoken and blunt in his words and feelings, and if his first impression of someone is bad, he really won't hold back. He's generally cool and not overly emotional, but he makes his dislikes very plain and isn't much for guile, and that heart-on-his-sleeve approach can very easily burn bridges. Also stating the obvious but he IS a cop, and while he's not super zealous about the law and stuff, he's at least competent enough to attempt to do his job. If you actually give him work to do, he will be pretty annoyed. Give me....idk, lions to piss off? Petty criminals to harass? People who just plain don't like cops for a variety of reasons? ROMANCE Just saying this up front, but as a rule I almost never plot "endgame" ships ahead of time. You're free to suggest something in the way of romance, and I'll probably give it a go, but I like these things to develop naturally. So if I'm not feeling it, I'm not feeling it. Nothing wrong with dating around anyway, right? To be Neil's lover you've basically gotta be his friend, cuz they're similar enough. That's not to say you have to get off on the right foot immediately; belligerent couples are one of my favorite things, and I'm willing to accept a couple that squabbles just as readily as a cutesy one. He doesn't really know how to handle complements and mushy stuff though, so if you're open with him he will probably melt. Idk this section's kinda poor, I never know how to phrase what I want in these.

Neil Garcia || Alisa Evans
He is a cop and my girl is studying to become a lawyer, so they will be working together in the near future. Mind you I can see them butting heads if she needs proof that so and so really did a crime and she would likely go out of her way to try and get him to gather more evidence for her, but that will happen once she graduates from grad school. She is studying there right now but her personality is still there and it would be fun to see them butt heads every now and then. Any thoughts on the subject? Maybe they can thread out of the subject involving crime and stuff. They have Carrie in common.... he will know Alisa as Carrie's friend. XD

YES I sincerely look forward to this law and order power trio.
Neil will probably like Alisa for the most part since she doesn't seem like someone who would harsh on his mellow too much. That said, make his ass work. The upside is that he doesn't just shirk working entirely. If she asks him to do something, he will do it, either because she's a prosecutor or just as a friend. But unless he's personally invested (he usually isn't) he will cut all kinds of corners, so it's up to her to keep him on track and make sure he does the proper job he's capable of. Sorry for the extra work, Alisa!
Anyway lets totally solve crimes! And if her work ever puts her in danger (which, I mean, friend of Carrie) Neil would be totally ready to ride to the rescue or something. But dangerous or not I'm looking forward to them working together. Brains and brawn!

Aww it would be fun if they met before he saw her around the police department, maybe he is drinking coffee when she walks on it because he thought she was going to see him just to be surprised that she went in to see Carrie instead, she would never ignore him on purpose but I feel like she would leave him to do his own thing and just ask him favors every now and then. Oh yes, once Alisa takes notice of him cutting corners she will likely *cough* put a leash on him *cough* I mean what.... keep him in line. Her line of work will likely put her in danger, with her knowing Carrie those who are in Carrie's past will come after Alisa and her parents. I know for sure they will be murdered, I'm not sure if Alisa will be there and need saving or walk on in to see the mess in her apartment, since her parents would be there to visit her. As for her needing to be rescued, with her putting others in jail over the whole she will be good at her job, I do see her life being put at risk many many times. Anyways, I would love to know how their first meeting should go or if you want to assume they are friends and he already knows about her friendship with Carrie. Thoughts?
